Bias Tip from the Lemon Origin Story:

“Sometimes the lemons in our lives weren’t given to us—they were engineered by our own flawed beliefs and biased assumptions.”
Just like we created lemons by combining two bitter fruits, we often create our problems by blending incomplete information (confirmation bias) with internal stories (narrative bias). Then we sip that sour cocktail and act like the universe did us dirty.
Here's the deeper bite:
Confirmation bias says: “I only notice what fits my story.”
Narrative bias says: “I need a clear cause-effect plot, even if it's made up.”
Mix those together and boom—you’ve got a fully fictional “truth” you now live by.
Real Talk:
Maybe life didn’t hand you a raw deal. Maybe you just crafted it that way because you kept mixing the wrong mental ingredients. That grudge? That self-doubt? That assumption about “how people are”? All might be your hand-crafted lemons.
Call to action:
Before blaming life, ask yourself: What assumptions am I combining that might be creating my current sour situation? Because sometimes the problem isn’t what life gave you—…it’s what you made out of it.
